IPRM Group to meet in Ergneti

The group of Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) is meeting in Ergneti village. The meeting will discuss the incidents, which have taken place for the last 2 months at the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).

According to Irakli Antadze, Deputy Head of the Analytical Department of State Security Service, the Georgian side will focus on the illegal borderization and detentions, humanitarian crisis and opening of Akhalgori checkpoint.

It will also consider the issue of Georgian citizen Gennady Bestaev, who has been in illegal detention for 2 years. He was brought to the territory controlled by the Georgian central government, underwent surgery but his health state had aggravated for the last three days in a clinic.

One Georgian citizen Gela Gochoshvili remains illegally imprisoned in the occupied Tskhinvali region. He was detained several months ago.
