IPRM Group meets in Ergneti

The Group on Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) is holding a meeting in Ergneti village to address the current situation across the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) of the occupied Tskhinvali region.

According to Irakli Antadze, Deputy Head of Analytical Department of State Security Service, the Georgian side would demand the release of the unlawfully imprisoned Georgian citizens.

Antadze said he was unaware whether the recently elected de facto president of the so-called South Ossetia would pardon illegally convicted citizens of Georgia. “However, Georgia spares no effort to return Georgian citizens to their families,” he said.

The parties will also discourse on the latest incidents and the borderization process in Gori and Kareli municipalities.
