IPRM Group meeting in Ergneti

The Group on Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) is meeting in Ergneti village to discuss all incidents that took place at the occupation line during the last 2 months.

The Georgian side will protest against the unlawful detention of Georgian citizens and demand their release. Georgia will also insist on the Akhalgori checkpoint opening and focus on the resolution of humanitarian needs.

Irakli Antadze, Deputy Head of the Analytical Department of State Security Service said that he will accentuate borderization process that damages the security environment. He reported that no major incidents took place near the administrative boundary line for the last several days.

According to Antadze, six Georgian citizens are unlawfully detained by the occupational regime, among them 2 people are imprisoned.
