The International Children’s Day will be marked with different activities in Georgia. The activities will take place both in Tbilisi and regions.
Entertaining activities are planned in Vake Park – concerts, puppet theater performances, animation show, soap-bubble show and contact zoo. Children will give a concert outside the Youth Palace at Rustaveli Avenue.
The Georgian National Museum will mark the day with Painting Festival. “Erisioni” Ensemble will hold a concert for children of military officers who are serving in international peacekeeping missions or who died during the 2008 Georgia-Russia war.
The International Children’s Day was founded in November 1949 in Paris by a decision of the Council of the International Democratic Women’s Federation. Subsequently, this initiative was supported by the UN.
