International Children's Day to be marked with various activities

The International Children’s Day will be marked with different activities in Georgia. The activities will take place both in Tbilisi and regions.

Entertaining activities are planned in Vake Park – concerts, puppet theater performances, animation show, soap-bubble show and contact zoo. Children will give a concert outside the Youth Palace at Rustaveli Avenue.

The Georgian National Museum will mark the day with Painting Festival. “Erisioni” Ensemble will hold a concert for children of military officers who are serving in international peacekeeping missions or who died during the 2008 Georgia-Russia war.

The International Children’s Day was founded in November 1949 in Paris by a decision of the Council of the International Democratic Women’s Federation. Subsequently, this initiative was supported by the UN.
