Intermittent rain is set to persist across most regions of Georgia on 1–2 September, according to the National Environment Agency (NEA).

Heavy downpours are anticipated in localised areas, accompanied by potential thunderstorms, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

The National Environment Agency warned that intense precipitation could trigger significant rises in water levels on major rivers and cause flash flooding on smaller streams. Furthermore, hilly and mountainous terrain faces a heightened risk of landslides and mudflows, with the threat level currently classified as moderate.
