Interior Ministry detains four Turkish nationals wanted under red notices in Batumi and Tbilisi
Employees of the Main Directorate for Organised Crime Combat of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have detained four Turkish nationals wanted under Interpol red notices for serious offences.
According to the Ministry, the suspects were wanted by Turkish law enforcement authorities on charges including abduction, robbery, premeditated murder, illegal possession of firearms, assault causing injury, intimidation, traffic violations, drug offences, and document forgery.
“Law enforcement officers apprehended the wanted individuals at different times in Batumi and Tbilisi during investigative operations. Extradition proceedings, as provided by law, are now underway,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
