Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili holds bilateral talks with Kyrgyz counterpart

Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Sulkhan Tamazashvili has met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ulan Niyazbekov, who is currently in Georgia on an official visit accompanied by a delegation.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the meeting focused on the close and effective cooperation established between the law enforcement agencies of both nations. Discussions also addressed past and ongoing reforms within Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as future initiatives.

The heads of both ministries underscored the importance of exchanging information and expertise within the framework of police cooperation and expressed their readiness to deepen bilateral ties.

The bilateral meeting at the Ministry of Internal Affairs was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Roni Meskhi, Director of the Central Criminal Police Department Davit Kiknadze, and other senior officials from the ministry.

As part of the visit, the two ministers laid wreaths at the memorial located within the grounds of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, paying tribute to police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
