Interior Minister: Police risking life on guard of citizens' security
“I want to express my respect and gratitude to the police officers, who, at the risk of their own life, stand guard for the safety of our citizens,” said Gela Geladze, Minister of Internal Affairs addressing solemn activity on the occasion of Police Day observed on May 31 in Georgia.
Gela Geladze emphasized that he was honored to address the Police for the first time since the assumption of duties as the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
“I would like to express my sincere respect and gratitude to the police officers, who, often at the risk of their own life and working in the 24-hour regime, stand guard for the safety of our citizens, protect our country’s borders and fight against crime. It is you who shape a safe future for our children, parents and each citizen to live in a peaceful, stable and development-oriented environment,” he stated.
