Interior Minister addresses policemen: I won't allow anybody to hurt your dignity, honour

Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri on Friday congratulated law enforcement officers on the Police Day.

In his address to the policemen, Gomelauri said: “I will not allow anybody to hurt your dignity and honour. I will always and everywhere protect your dignity.”

According to Gomelauri, “Being a police officer requires a special love for the country and its citizens.”

The Minister underscored that “the Georgian police are made up of honourable, qualified personnel, and each one of them plays a crucial part in preserving national security.”

“Remember that we must be strong for our country to remain powerful and free. We must preserve the state’s interests with dignity.

As a minister, a police officer, and a citizen, I am on your side,” Vakhtang Gomelauri asserted.
