PM says strong police to be essential for state's strength and prosperity

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated the police personnel, Interior Minister, and MIA leadership on their professional day.

“A strong and constantly developing police force that is in charge of protecting the interests of our country and people, the security of each citizen, is a necessary condition for the strength and progress of our state,” the Prime Minister said at the Police Day event.

According to the Head of the Government, Georgian police are modern and, more significantly, highly professional.

“Today, as our country, people and government work together to build a modern, European state, we can safely say that we already have a modern and, most importantly, highly professional police force of European standards. Of course, this is the result of large-scale reforms implemented in recent years,” the PM added.
