Infrastructure Minister warns contractors of strict oversight after construction delays
Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze announced strict measures against construction contractors following delays in kindergarten projects across the Shida Kartli region.
“The approach to contractor companies will be very strict; we will continue inspections in constant mode without notice,” Sokhadze declared during a regional site visit.
The minister apologized for construction setbacks affecting several kindergarten projects and warned contractors of increased oversight. “We went to one of the kindergarten sites without warning, and we will continue this type of inspection in constant mode,” he stated.
During his visit, Sokhadze inspected ongoing work, including a kindergarten for 100 children in Lamiskhana village and a public school project in Arashenda village, funded by the state budget and the World Bank, respectively.
The ministry is implementing various infrastructure projects throughout the Shida Kartli region, including roads, schools, kindergartens, and water supply systems across Kaspi, Gori, Kareli, and Khashuri municipalities.
