Individual wanted by Interpol under red notice arrested in Batumi

Officers from the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), along with the Western Division for Combating Illegal Migration of the Migration Department, detained an individual, identified as R.S., a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye born in 2003, who was wanted by Interpol under a red notice.

The individual was sought by Turkish authorities on charges of fraud committed through electronic data processing systems.

The arrest was made in Batumi following investigative operations conducted by law enforcement officials.
Legal proceedings for extradition, as prescribed by law, are currently underway against the detainee.
