Ilia Sulamanidze becomes European Champion #1TVSPORT

Ilia Sulamanidze has won the European Judo Championships. Among men in the 100-kg category, the Georgian judoka defeated Azerbaijani rival Zelym Kotsoiev and secured a gold medal.

Zelym Kotsoiev is the judoka, who defeated Ilia Sulamanidze in the finals of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Sulamanidze twice won bronze medals in 2023 and 2024.

This medal is the fourth one for the Georgian team at the championships underway in Montenegro.

Giorgi Sardalashvili, 21, won the gold medal in the 60-kg category, Eter Liparteliani (57 kg) secured the silver medal, while  Tato Grigalashvili won a silver medal in the 81-kg category.
