IDP Agency to purchase homes for up to 800 IDP families
The IDP Agency will acquire homes for up to 800 internally displaced persons (IDP) families.
According to the Ministry of Health, the list of these families has already been published on the agency’s website.
“It is important to note that the house purchase programme has recently expanded significantly, reaching a record level in 2025, when the agency acquired homes for up to 3,000 IDP families.
IDP families are given six months to select their own homes in any region of Georgia. The amount allocated for each property purchase is determined based on the number of family members,” the Ministry of Health states.
They also note that the house purchase programme in rural areas has been in place since 2014, during which time the government has resettled over 13,000 IDP families.
According to the Ministry of Health, resettlement of displaced families through this procurement programme will continue actively in the future.
