'I stand where Georgia must stand - by Zelenskyy and Ukraine, fighting for freedom,' Georgian President says
Georgian President Salome Zourabishvili has addressed her Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the rally participants gathered on Rustaveli Avenue to listen to Zelenskyy’s address to seven countries.
In her speech, Salome Zourabichvili stressed, “I stand today where Georgia must stand!”
“I stand with President Zelenskyy and by Ukraine. It is the dignity of our culture and tradition, the dignity of the Georgian people that we stand with our friendly country fighting for freedom, independence, and the European future!
We also are there and we too will be there and I want to express my support to president Zelenskyy from here. You [rally participants] are the people who represent the dignity of Georgia today!” she underscored.
In his address to seven European cities, including Tbilisi, Zelenskyy urged them “not to be silent, to come out onto streets and support Ukraine, support our efforts and support our fight.”
Zelenskyy stressed that “if Ukraine will not stand, Europe will not stand. If we will fall, you will fall. Please, do not be silent, do not turn the blind eye on this, come out and support Ukraine as much as you can.”
