Health Minister meets UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia

Mikheil Sarjveladze, Georgian Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, met Didier Trebucq, UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia.

According to the Health Ministry, the parties reviewed the 2026-2030 UN Sustainable Development Partnership Agreement signed between the Georgian government and the UN, which was inked by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze last year.

The sides focused on priority trends of cooperation, development of social protection mechanisms and improving the population’s welfare.

Didier Trebucq reconfirmed readiness to actively cooperate with the Georgian government for the effective implementation of the agreed objectives.

Alexandru Nartea, Chargé d’affaires of UNICEF, Thomas Rubal, a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), Ekaterine Karchkhadze, International Labor Organization’s coordinator in Georgia, and Erik Andermo, a Development Coordination Officer and Economist in the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, attended the meeting.
