Health Minister meets doctors in Council of Advisors format

Georgian Minister of Health Zurab Azarashvili held another meeting with medical field representatives in the Council of Advisors format.

The meeting discussed reforms to increase access to quality healthcare services and challenges to medical education quality. In order to promote professional development, the participants decided to form a working group.

The parties also discussed mandatory international accreditation and summarized the results of the funding model for diagnosis-related groups (DRG) in medical facilities.

The discussion touched on the extension of the funding utilization period to two months for a universal healthcare program.
