Head of Red Cross Delegation – Repatriation of children from Iraq is heartbreaking example

Severine Chappaz, Head of Delegation at International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Georgia welcomes repatriation of three children from Iraq to Georgia.

Chappaz released a statement on Twitter. “Glad that the repatriation of 3 children from Iraq to their grand-parents in Georgia was accomplished successfully thanks to the efforts by Georgian Justice Ministry and everyone involved! This is a heart-warming example of the power of humanity in war,” Chappaz wrote.

Three underage Georgian citizens, children of a woman, who is imposed life sentence for being a wife of a fighter of Islamic State in Iraq charged for terrorism, were brought to Tbilisi on October 13.
