Head of Government Administration: 25% of previous interns secured employment
“We urge young people, graduates, and students to participate in the upcoming 3-month paid internship programme actively, because it is a paid internship, translating into work experience,” Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia, has stated.
Zhorzholiani explained that the main criteria for selecting interns will be academic performance, GPA, and an interview, with priority given to higher academic achievement in cases of equal scores.
“This is the second time the Prime Minister has announced a 3-month internship competition, offering over 3,000 vacancies. Eligible applicants include final-year undergraduates, graduates, and those who have completed their bachelor’s or master’s degrees in the spring semester of 2024-2025. The selection will be based on academic performance, GPA, and interview results.
In cases of equal scores, priority will be given to academic performance. We strongly encourage young people, graduates, and students to actively participate, as internships are paid and provide valuable work experience. Last time, up to 2,000 students and graduates joined the programme, with 20-25% securing full-time positions in ministries, LEPLs, or private legal entities,” Levan Zhorzholiani stated.
Head of the Government Administration emphasised that the internship offers young people, students, and graduates the vital opportunity to observe firsthand how key national programmes are implemented and decisions are made.
