Head of Burns Center: No serious cases observed on New Year's night
Ten patients, among them three children, were admitted to the Tbilisi Burns Center on New Year’s night, Head of the clinic Guga Kashibadze said.
According to Guga Kashibadze, no serious cases of injuries with pyrotechnics were observed this year. He said the number of cases had decreased compared to the last year but warned the population to follow safety instructions when using the fireworks.
“Carelessness can cause serious injuries. We did not have a serious case of a serious burn or necessary surgical intervention. However, based on years of experience, it doesn’t happen only during the New Year, it continues during the celebration of New Year with the old style and even on Christmas,” he said.
