H1N1 kills two in Georgia

Flu virus H1N1 has killed two people in Georgia, the Director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and Public Health, Amiran Gamkrelidze says. As he adds, in both cases, patients had preexisting chronic complications.

“We have laboratory-confirmed influenza-associated death in Imereti and Adjara. Both patients had preexisting chronic complications and they did not appeal to the hospital timely,” Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
