GYLA observes several polling stations open late, equipment malfunction, vote secrecy violations

The Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA) briefed about violations observed in the voting process observed for 11 a.m.

The GYLA Head Nona Kurdovanidze said that the observation mission revealed various kinds of violations such as polling stations opening late, malfunctioning of election devices, issuing two bulletins to one voter, writing down a voter’s personal information, presence of coordinators on the outside perimeter, video cameras installed by the Georgian Dream party.

The GYLA observers, by 10 a.m. recorded 15 remarks in the record book, 11 were written in the district election commission, and 4 complaints were compiled in the name of the precinct election commission.

The 2024 parliamentary elections are held on October 26 in Georgia.

The total number of registered voters for the 2024 elections is 3,508,294.
