The Regional Development Ministry is set to be established as an independent institution, separate from the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, with Grigol Liluashvili designated as its head. Currently serving as the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG), Liluashvili will transition into this new role.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at a recent briefing that the government submitted a draft bill to the parliament for deliberation. The parliament is scheduled to review the bill on April 15-18.
Irakli Karseladze will continue in his role as Minister of Infrastructure.
