GPB Dir/Gen: Painful day for our country as Georgia bids true legend farewell

Vakhtang (Buba) Kikabidze, a celebrated actor and singer from Georgia, was laid to rest today at Vake Cemetery.

“It is a painful day for our country as Georgia bids a true legend farewell,” said Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), who was present for the funeral service.

“Words are excessive, and it’s not worth talking much about it. GPB First Channel is broadcasting Mr Buba’s memory. I want everyone to feel the sadness the whole nation feels,” Berdzenishvili asserted.

Vakhtang Kikabidze died at age 84 on 15 January.
