The Georgian government will make a decision on the Georgian Ambassador’s return back to Ukraine shortly, MP Givi Mikanadze stated on Sunday.
Mikanadze vowed that Georgia and Ukraine are strategic partners and this relationship dynamically develops at all levels.
“In this context, and given the security situation in Ukraine, we will discuss Georgian Ambassador’s return to Ukraine any day now,” Mikanadze said.
Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Teimuraz Sharashenidze was recalled to Tbilisi last year after former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili became chair of the executive committee of the Ukrainian National Reforms Council.
Earlier this week, Ukraine has accused Russia of massing thousands of military personnel on its northern and eastern borders.
Ukraine’s president called on Nato and key member states to dash his country’s membership of the western military alliance in response to Russian troop movements.
