The Georgian government has submitted a document outlining the general education national goals to the parliament. The document will be tabled at the bureau on April 29.
The draft outlines the goals of Georgia’s general education system, which aims to “cultivate competitive and free citizens with personal, national-state, patriotic, moral, and ethical values who are prepared for dignified lives. These citizens should have respect for basic human rights and understand the importance of building a democratic, legal, and social state.”
“The document emphasizes the need for schools to create an environment conducive to personal development, socio-emotional growth, respect for the family, and adherence to universally recognized ethical principles and democratic values. It also highlights the importance of inclusion, social responsibility, accessibility, and effective communication,” the document reads.
