Gov’t makes public EU Accession Questionnaire

The government made public the EU Accession Questionnaire required by the European Commission to release its Opinion on granting the EU candidate status to Georgia.

A decision followed the 62nd session of the government commission on EU Integration of Georgia headed by Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili.

The first part of the questionnaire, handed over to Georgia on April 11, focuses on political and economic components. The second part comprises the branch and sectoral issues to assess Georgia’s compatibility with the EU legislation.

Oliver Varhelyi, the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, handed over the EU membership questionnaire to the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili in Luxembourg on April 11.
