Government to increase gas supply designated costs to 244 settlements

The government will increase the corresponding total cost for the implementation of design and construction works of gasification for natural gas supply. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has already signed the decree.

According to the amendment, a 3-year gasification plan was approved, within the framework of which “Georgian Gas Transportation Company” during the years 2022-2024 should ensure the implementation of design and construction works of gasification for the purpose of supplying natural gas to 39,698 subscribers in 244 settlements across the country, the total cost of which is 135,272 It is 350 GEL.

According to the decree, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia will ensure the search of appropriate resources and consideration of appropriate allocations for the years 2022-2024. Also, the gasification design and construction works will be financed from the 2023 state budget allocations.

An amendment was made to the Decree N2120 of October 29, 2020 of the Government of Georgia “On the measures to be implemented in 2022-2024 to promote the supply of natural gas to the population of Georgia”.
