“Work on consumer prices reduction will be completed by the end of April, and we believe in achieving tangible results,” said Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration.

According to Zhorzholiani, companies express readiness to reduce prices.

“The Cross-Government Coordination Commission on Consumer Prices worked for 2 weeks. It organized meetings with food companies, retailers, importers, producers and within the extension of its mandate, it met with representatives of pharmaceutical and fuel importer companies. After each meeting, the companies were expressing readiness to reduce prices that is welcoming.

The process will continue in the parliament, where a special commission will review the issue. Work on consumer prices reduction will be completed by the end of April, and we believe to achieve tangible results,” he said.
