“The Libertarian Puritan flag-bearing party is appealing to the muppets of Bidzina [Ivanishvili] to retain my MP mandate against my will,” the leader of the party Girchi More Freedom posted on Facebook in response to the statement of the Girchi party.
“Wow, the libertarian puritanism flag-bearing party asks (does not propose, does not initiate, but asks!) the muppets of Bidzina [Ivanishvili], to give up to my freedom! Who cares about my freedom when “Georgian parliamentarism” should be saved. Go ahead and ask for a job at some LEPL for me. This self-preservation instinct and its structure is a complicated thing”, Zurab Girchi Japaridze wrote.
The opposition Girchi party announced their MPs would request mandate termination in case if the ruling Georgian Dream annuls fifty-one opposition MPs mandates, the party announced on Monday.
The opposition Girchi Party, which secured three mandates in the Georgian Parliament through the October 31 parliamentary elections, had split into two parties in December 2020.
