Girchi-More Freedom leader: Reduction of polarization is fairytale, I'm not going to live in delusion

The reduction of polarization is a fairytale. I’m not going to live immersed in a delusion, said Girchi-More Freedom leader Zurab Japaridze, adding that the government is the primary factor of polarization.

According to him, the critical challenges are de-oligarchization and changes to the justice and judicial systems. “We discussed these issues thoroughly in Brussels,” he remarked.

“Depolarization is not possible since the government has been the primary booster of polarization over the last decade. Furthermore, the fact that the 2024 parliamentary elections will have a 5% threshold implies that they are still purposely polarizing. As a result, the reduction of polarization is a fairytale. I’m not going to live immersed in a delusion,” Zurab Japaridze stated.

The oppositionist remarked on a possible merger with Strategy Agmashenebeli and Droa, stating that if this merger occurs, it will result in a change of government and a return of the nation to its European path.
