Girchi cannot imagine serious work on EC's points unless elections are held peacefully

“I cannot imagine serious and constructive work of the government and the opposition on the EC’s points unless the elections are held peacefully,” said Vakhtang Megrelishvili, a member of the opposition Girchi party.

Vakhtang Megrelishvili said he is ready to participate in the working groups.

“We never boycotted. I was a member of deoligarchization group but I saw how pointless it was for the whole year. I will do the same this year if the process develops, but I don’t believe that this is possible in the pre-election period. The fourth point in these nine recommendations is elections and if we don’t hold the elections and our Western partners have doubts, these points have no perspective,” he said.
