“I want to tell this treacherous regime that the United National Movement is not a piece of paper, but an idea, that cannot be destroyed,” said Giorgi Baramidze, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party.
Commenting on the establishment of a commission, which “seeks to abolish the UNM,” he said the UNM party united patriots around a strong, united, European state, Georgia’s membership of the EU and NATO.
“Whatever their efforts for the last 13 years, they will not be able to destroy the Georgian people and the idea, which is supreme. This is what is valuable for our people – freedom, a strong, united, European and democratic state. Their efforts will be futile,” he said.
Giorgi Baramidze believes that Georgian society will reach its target and “the criminals will be held accountable for betraying national interests.”
“They will be held accountable for many crimes committed in this period, for attacks, physical abuses, terrorising Georgian people for their fight for freedom, true peace, development, normal country and prosperity of Georgia, for rejecting to be Russia’s vassals, slavery but wanting to be a member of the community which values freedom, democracy and development,” he said.
