German ambassador welcomes compromise persistently advocated by US and EU Ambassadors

“I welcome this compromise, which Ambassadors Kelly Degnan and Carl Hartzell have advocated so persistently,” the German embassy posted a statement by ambassador Hubert Knirsch on Facebook.

“The plan presented by the President of the European Council has now found broad agreement among the political forces. I welcome this compromise, which Ambassadors Kelly Degnan and Carl Hartzell have advocated so persistently. The implementation of the agreed steps now calls for a new spirit in politics, the spirit of working towards joint success,” the statement reads.

Most of the Georgian political parties signed A way ahead for Georgia, a compromise document submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19.
