“A dedicated Statistics Training Centre is being established to offer specialised courses to the public,” Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), Gogita Todradze, announced today during a meeting of the Economic Policy Committee.

According to Todradze, the necessary infrastructure is set up, and the inaugural training session is slated for October.

“We will select specific topics, such as inflation calculations and their underlying methodologies, or how economic growth and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) are computed. Any interested individual can register, and we will deliver a one-day course covering every nuance, not merely the theoretical framework, but the practical calculation methods as well.

With this initiative, we reiterate our commitment to absolute transparency and our readiness to address any questions within our scope. The first training session is highly likely to take place in October. The infrastructure is already in place, and we will inform the public accordingly,” Todradze stated.
