GeoStat: Tbilisi makes 50.5 per cent of Georgia’s GDP

Georgia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2020 amounted to GEL 49,266,7 million. Tbilisi contributed to the GDP with the highest 50,5 per cent share, followed by the Adjara Autonomous Republic with 8.9% and the Imereti region with 8.4%.

The fourth-place goes to the Kvemo Kartli region – 8.0% and the fifth – Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti with a 6.4% share. As for branch structure, the largest share goes to wholesale and retail trade – 22.8%, maintenance of auto transport, real estate related activities – 12.8% and constructions – 11.5%.
