GeoStat: Georgian economy posts 8.0% growth in July
Georgia’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 8.0% year-on-year in July 2026, according to rapid estimates published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat). The average real GDP growth rate for the first seven months of the year stands at 7.9%.
According to GeoStat, manufacturing, information and communication, financial and insurance activities, mining and quarrying, and transportation and storage were key drivers contributing to economic expansion in July 2026 compared to the same period last year.
Conversely, a downward trend was recorded in the construction sector.
