Georgia’s President and FM meet J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio at opening ceremony of Winter Olympics

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili attended a reception hosted by International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry, according to the Georgian Presidential Administration.

At the event, Kavelashvili and Botchorishvili engaged with leaders from various countries, including U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“The discussions highlighted the shared values between the two nations,” the statement noted.

Additionally, President Kavelashvili is set to participate in a dinner hosted by Italian President Sergio Mattarella, honouring the heads of state attending the opening ceremony of the XXV Winter Olympic Games.
