Georgia’s Ambassador to Holy See presents copies of credentials to Secretary General of Order of Malta

Georgia’s Ambassador to the Holy See, Davit Mekvabishvili, presented copies of his credentials to the Secretary General for Foreign Affairs of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Giampaolo Cantini.

Following the ceremony, the Ambassador and the Secretary General held a meeting to discuss the close relations between Georgia and the Order of Malta and the prospects for their further development.

Particular attention was given to the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and the government’s policy aimed at the peaceful restoration of the country’s territorial integrity.

Secretary General Cantini congratulated Ambassador Mekvabishvili on his appointment, wished him success in his mission, and expressed interest in visiting Georgia.
