Georgian State Security Chief Geka Geladze addresses international counter-terrorism forum in China

The Head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), Geka Geladze, has taken part in the International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation Forum, held as part of the 2026 Global Public Security Cooperation Conference in China.

According to the SSSG, the event brought together 350 delegates from nearly 50 national delegations and international bodies, including 21 heads of intelligence and law enforcement agencies, to discuss non-discriminatory standards in counter-terrorism and strengthening of global security partnerships.

“Deliberations focused on strengthening the regulation of emerging technologies and improving counter-terrorism governance frameworks. The proceedings concluded with the adoption of a strategic blueprint: the Global Counter-Terrorism Action Plan (2026).

The International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation Forum serves as a key platform for dialogue and operational coordination in combating international terrorism, facilitating the exchange of best practices and supporting efforts to build a balanced, sustainable global security architecture,” the SSSG statement read.
