An awarding ceremony of the best sportspersons for 2025 was held at the Georgian Sports Journalist Association on Saturday.

Over 100 sports journalists participated in the poll.

Winners in different nominations:

Best Sportsman – male – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia;

Best Sportsman – female – Eter Liparteliani;

Best Para-athlete – male – Giorgi Kaldanni;

Best Para-athlete – female – Nina Tibilashvili;

Best Young Sportsperson – Vakhtang Lolua;

Best Team – Judo Team;

Best Couch – Lasha Gujejiani.

The Executive Committee of the Georgian Sports Journalist Association named the Judo Federation as the best federation, while the Georgian Sports Ministry received the award for being the best partner in 2025.

The Georgian Sports Journalists’ Poll to identify the best athletes of the year has been held since 1964.
