Georgian Railways to refurbish two passenger trains for summer, with three more scheduled for modernisation

“We have commenced the process of refurbishing our passenger trains, and by the summer season, we will already have some trains fully renovated,” stated Lasha Abashidze, General Director of Georgian Railways.

Lasha Abashidze visited the wagon depot to oversee the ongoing refurbishment work on the passenger trains.

As the General Director of the Georgian Railway noted, the refurbishment of two trains is set to be completed by summer, with plans to modernise an additional three trains later in the year.

“All technical issues affecting our passenger trains have been identified, and active efforts are underway to renew and modernise them,” added Lasha Abashidze.
