Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili signed the condolence book at the Holy See of the apostolic nunciature in response to the death of Pope Francis.

According to the Presidential Administration, the President offered his condolences to the Catholic Church and its millions of parishioners.

Kavelashvili is scheduled to attend Pope Francis’s funeral on April 26. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. local time (4 a.m. ET) on Saturday, six days after the Pope’s passing. Political and religious leaders, royalty, and celebrities from around the globe have confirmed their attendance at the service in the Vatican.
