Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili pays tribute at Junkers Memorial in Kojori

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani, and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, laid a wreath at the Junkers Memorial in Kojori, honouring the heroic fighters who fell in the battles of Kojori-Tabakhmela.

It has been 105 years since the Soviet occupation.

By a resolution passed by the Georgian Parliament on July 21, 2010, February 25 was officially designated as the Day of Soviet Occupation.
