Georgian President meets UN Secretary-General

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met UN Secretary-General António Guterres in Geneva.

According to the Presidential Administration, the sides reviewed the global security situation, contemporary international challenges and Georgia-UN cooperation-related issues.

President Kavelashvili emphasized the significance of multilateralism and a rules-based international order as key prerequisites for peace, security and sustainable development. He focused on the support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

President of Georgia expressed gratitude to the UN Secretary-General for keeping the Georgian issue on top of the international agenda.

Mikheil Kavelashvili invited UN Secretary-General António Guterres to Georgia for an official visit.
