Georgian PM visits food processing plant in Gabala

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili visited a food processing plant in Azerbaijan’s Gabala region together with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Gabala food processing plant is expanded on the territory of 13 hectares of area and is the most advanced canning plant in the South Caucasus. The plant produces about 100 types of products, processes approximately 70,000 tons of fruits per year and 210,000 tons of juice and nectar annually.

The products are sold both on the domestic market and also exported to various countries, including the USA, Greece, Germany, Estonia, Latvia and Georgia.

The PM also visited Azerbaijan Service and Assessment Network (ASAN) Service Center in Gabala and became familiar with its working principles.

ASAN Service is a state agency for public services to citizens of Azerbaijan. The agency’s goal is to make services more easily accessible to citizens using modern technologies. Its functioning is based on operative, transparency and comfort principles.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
