Georgian PM: Some pro-Western, anti-Russian countries have not imposed sanctions against Russia, exposing double standard
“Do you remember, for four years behind the scenes, they were demanding sanctions from us, but avoided discussing it publicly. Now, they have decided to speak openly, which is very revealing,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
He pointed out that initially, a resolution from the European Parliament called for sanctions against Georgia, and now there are statements from ambassadors.
“What we were telling the public and what some people pretended had not happened, today, they are openly discussing it. First, the European Parliament resolution called for sanctions, and now we have statements from ambassadors.
I want to remind you that there are countries declared to be pro-Western and anti-Russian. No one has ever demanded sanctions against these nations, nor have they imposed any. This clearly exposes a double standard; it shows a specific bias against our country,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
