Georgian PM says European integration is part of country's political agenda, enshrined in the Constitution
“European integration is a part of our political agenda. It’s even enshrined in the Constitution of Georgia that we would like to become a full-fledged member of the European Union. We are consistently following this plan,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at a panel discussion held within the framework of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the main topic of which was “The Middle Corridor – Connecting Europe and Asia through Energy”.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgia consistently follows the association agenda.
“European integration is a part of our political agenda. It’s even enshrined in the Constitution of Georgia that we would like to become a full-fledged member of the European Union. We are consistently following this plan; we have the Association Agreement and the association agenda, and we are implementing our obligations. We will be consistent in this respect in terms of implementing all the relevant reforms and making overall steps,” the Prime Minister has stated.
