Georgian PM prioritizes deepening strategic partnership with Azerbaijan

“For Georgia, Azerbaijan is not just a good friend but a strategic partner, and deepening this partnership is a priority for us,” stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a joint press conference with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, their bilateral meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and discussing ongoing political developments in the region.

“These political processes influence the political positioning of our countries, and addressing challenges together is crucial. Peace and stability in the South Caucasus are of utmost importance, and I would like to reaffirm our commitment to contributing to the peace and security of the region within our capabilities,” Kobakhidze noted.

The Georgian Prime Minister emphasized the significance of economic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan, particularly regarding strategic projects also carrying political implications.

“The further development of these projects and the initiation of new ones are vital. For Georgia, Azerbaijan is not merely a good friend but a strategic partner. Deepening this partnership is a priority for us, and in this context, Georgia places special importance on economic cooperation,” Kobakhidze concluded.
