Georgian PM meets Norwegian Ambassador

Georgia-Norway economic and defense cooperation was in focus during the meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and Norwegian Ambassador Helene Sand Andresen on Thursday, the government’s press service reported.

“The parties emphasized the importance of tapping into the full potential of economic cooperation. The Free Trade Agreement between the EFTA and Georgia provide fertile ground for deeper bilateral economic relations between Georgia and Norway,” the press service noted.

Launching direct flights between Georgia and Norway will develop bilateral relations, including tourism and deep business ties, the press statement reads.

PM thanked Norway for supporting Georgia in the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package implementation and contribution to Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
